Guys, calm down, try to think before judging
“Guys, I'm also a Christian that was
doing some research on Islam when I came across that website. First of,
I'm against FANATICISM and everything that goes with it...HOWEVER,
before condemning the whole Muslim world, I invite my fellow Christians
to actually read the bible and realize that it also contains a lot of
hate, violence and inferiorisation of women etc...And for the more
open-minded ones, I mean those who can understand and intellectually
interpret readings, they should read the Koran as well. They will
realize that it's not that different from the bible in its teachings.
It's really not what the Christian world thinks it is. I used to think
that Islam was a very bad religion before I learned about it deeply.
It's really not what I thought it was. I found out that it was really a
religion about peace, submission to God, living righteousness, loving
your fellow man etc... I agree, some verses contain some instigation to
violence, but so does the bible (especially in the old testament). It's
all about knowing the whole historical context those holy books were
written in. It's all about not misinterpreting those holy books. We live
in a time where there shouldn't be any violence and hate, so please, it
starts with us. It's the same God we are all praying to, you know. My
fellow Christian and Muslim brothers, do what Jesus, the messiah (AS IT
SAYS IN BOTH THE BIBLE AND THE KORAN) would have done in that particular
situation...Don't hate, try to understand first. And forbid violence!!!”
